Rajasthan Royals – IPL T20
The Rajasthan Royals did not fare well in this season of the Indian Premier League. He has played five matches so far with two wins to his name. They had lost three matches and were second from the bottom in the points table. He suffered a heavy defeat against Mumbai Indians in his recent match by a margin of 57 runs.
His bowling unit’s performance in the previous match was not impressive. He scored 193 runs in his innings of 20 overs. He used six bowlers in that match. Shreyas Gopal was the highest wicket taker for him, taking two wickets for 28 runs in four overs. Jofra Archer took one wicket in his four overs while bowling, while taking 34 runs from him. Karthik Tyagi also took one wicket in his four overs, while he scored 38 runs. Rahul Tewatia, Tom Curren and Ankit Rajput were the bowlers who failed to take any wickets in the previous match.
The Rajasthan Royals’ batting order almost collapsed in the last match. Except for Jos Buttler, no other batsman from his side scored some big runs on the board. Jos Buttler was the most successful and highest run-scorer for his side, scoring 70 runs while facing 44 balls and hitting four fours and five huge sixes. Joffra Archer scored 24 runs off just 11 balls with the help of three fours and a six. Tom Curren had 15 runs to his name.
Captain Steven Smith could score just six runs. RR Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to open their account on the scoreboard after being dismissed with the lead batsman Golden Duck. Rahul Tewatia had five runs to his name and Ankit Rajput scored just two runs.
Delhi Capitals – IPL T20
Delhi Capital had done well in this tournament so far. He played four matches to his name and played five matches. They lost just one match and are in second place in the points table. They are making a comeback in their recent match with a landslide victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore by a handsome margin of 59 runs.
They lost the toss and were bowled first. The way his batting order performed in that match was just brilliant. He scored a total of 196 runs on the board in his 20-over innings. From his side, almost all the batsmen put some runs on the board. Marcus Stoinis was the highest run-scorer for his side, scoring 53 runs off just 26 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes. Prithvi Shaw also performed well with the bat. He scored 42 runs off 23 balls and hit five fours and two sixes. Rishabh Pant scored 37 runs while Shikhar Dhawan scored 32 runs. He faced 28 balls and hit three fours. Captain Shreyas Iyer scored 11 runs while Shimron Hetmyer was 11 not out.
The way the Delhi Capitals bowling unit performed brilliantly in the last match. He defended the target for 197 runs and restricted RCB’s strong batting order to just 137 runs. Like batting, all their bowlers give their best performance in that match. Kagiso Rabada was the highest wicket-taker for his side, taking four wickets for 24 runs in his four overs.
He took two wickets in his four overs, while he scored just 18 runs. The other bowler from his side was Enrique Narje who took two wickets in four overs, while 22 runs were taken from him. Ravichandran Ashwin took one wicket in his four overs while he scored 26 runs. Harshal Patel was the only bowler with his feet who failed to perform well in the recent match. He was dismissed for 43 runs in his four overs and was short of wickets.
