Defending champions, Mumbai Indians performed well in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League so far. He played a total of seven matches with five wins to his name. They lost two matches and are placed second in the points table of the Dream 11 IPL T20. MI is the team which is rich in net run rate among all other teams of this tournament. They are coming into this match with a huge win over Delhi Capital by a stunning five-wicket margin in their recent match.

Krunal Pandya was the most successful and most wicket taker for his side, taking two wickets in his four overs, while taking 26 runs from him. He scored 53 (36) and hit four fours and three huge sixes. Ishan Kishan scored 28 (15) runs with the help of two fours and equally big sixes. Kiron Pollard scored 11 runs while Krunal Pandya scored 12 runs.
Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard were not out to chase the target. Hardik Pandya failed to open his account on the scoreboard. He was dismissed by Alex Carrie on the Golden Duck. Captain Rohit Sharma failed to make a big score in the last match. He could score only five runs.
Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata Knight Riders’ performance in this tournament was average. He had three wins in seven matches. They had lost four matches and were ranked 4th in the points table. He suffered a crushing defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore by a handsome margin of 82 runs. KKR’s bowling unit almost failed to deliver its best performance in that match. He was charged with 194 runs in 20 overs. Pradeesh Krishna took one wicket in his four overs, but he got a lot of runs. He took three wickets for 42 runs in his four overs.
Andrey Russell also took one wicket but took 51 runs in his four overs. Varun Chakraborty took four wickets in his four overs bowling and wicketkeeping, while K Nagarkoti also failed to take any wickets in his four-over 36-run knock. Pat Cummins was accused of giving away 38 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket.
The Kolkata Knight Riders’ batting order almost collapsed in the last match. Chasing a target of 195 runs, he could score 112 runs in his 20 overs. Shubman Gill was the only successful and highest run-scorer for his side who scored 34 (25) runs and hit three fours and a six. Andre Russell and Rahul Tripathi scored 16 runs in the last match. No other batsman could enter double figures from his side either. KKR big names like Tom Banton, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell almost failed to perform well in the recent match against RCB. Eoin Morgan scored eight while Nitish Rana and Tom Banton scored just nine.
Pat Cummins and captain Dinesh Karthik could score one run each. The inclusion of Tom Banton in place of Sunil Narine did not change things for KKR. Tom Banton had to find a way on slow pitches and should give the best performance to play a key role for the team. Nitish Rana and Eoin Morgan are also struggling in this tournament and have failed to give their best.
